PeoplePlacesThingsMiami empowers Miami to run its own culture. We move audiences toward the artists, organizers, and businesses building something real here, and we give locals the means to live a Miami life that belongs to them. Every connection we make compounds. The more locals show up for local work, the more local work gets made, the more Miami becomes a city its own people are proud to live in. The story Miami tells about itself is mostly told by people who don't live here. Tourist economies, out-of-town media, and algorithms optimized for clicks have flattened a complex city into a postcard. PPTM is built and run by Miamians who refuse that version. We answer to the people who live here, which means we speak to Miami the way Miami actually is, not the way it gets sold.
