EQ brings Miami's DIY music community into the same room with the industry professionals, resources, and connections that move careers forward. Built specifically for the people doing the work: independent artists, producers, engineers, managers, venue owners, promoters, designers, marketers, and anyone building a career in music from the ground up. A full evening designed to give you real tools, real connections, and real access to the industry.

What You'll Experience

Main Panel Discussions

Industry professionals will lead conversations on the topics that actually matter when you're building independently. Legal 101 for Artists will break down rights, and protections in language that makes sense. DIY Success: Monetizing Without a Label explores how artists are creating sustainable income outside traditional structures. The Truth About A&R demystifies what labels actually look for. Building Your Team covers how to find and work with managers, engineers, and booking agents who align with your vision. Panelists will be announced soon.

Collaboration Room

A dedicated space equipped with interfaces and MIDI instruments where you can jump into real-time creation with people you just met. Bring your laptop, headphones, and whatever tools you work with. Producers link with vocalists, beatmakers meet rappers, and new projects start before the night ends.

Feedback and Showcase Room

Share your works in progress and get constructive feedback from other artists and industry professionals. The process, the refinement, and connecting with people who understand what you're trying to build.

About Ampersand Studios

Located at 31 NE 17th Street in Miami's Arts & Entertainment District, Ampersand Studios is a 21,500 sq ft creative workplace and production facility that actively incubates creative businesses through its &Grow program. The venue aligns with EQ's mission: access and mentorship for people building careers in creative industries.

If you're making music, supporting artists who make music, or building infrastructure for people who make music, this event is for you. EQ exists to create a space where the gates are open. Wherever you are in your career, if you're doing the work, you belong here.
